The Boy Who Was Raised As A Dog is my favourite book of all time! It’s about the development of a child’s brain and the effect of early trauma. Each chapter follows a different case study so it brings the science to life, makes it immediately applicable and and therefore gripping. I read it with little understanding of neuropsychology and found it very comprehensive and convincing. Also very relevant to our day to day lives – ought to be read by all parents, teachers, support workers, social workers, nursery nurses, soon to be parents, PEOPLE!
